NEW AMBIENTPORTAL CD INTERRA ON ATMOWORKS

It has been a year since my first CD "Luminous" was released on AtmoWorks. And now it's time for my second CD on AtmoWorks titled "Interra". Available as a downloadable file or CD. www.AtmoWorks.com in the early part of November.
The new release embarks on a journey that Luminous started. It goes deeper into the ambient realms with spacious textures and tribal rhythms with some soft ethereal vocals. Here is how Vir Unis from Atmoworks describes the new release:

"....Mykl Neufeld, aka AmbientPortal, has finished his second AtmoWorks album
to date and is scheduled for an November release. Interra, the new album, is
an audiophile's journey through low washes of subtle electronic textures that define
and give clarity to even lower drones that ebb and flow, providing a
natural direction and tonal narrative for the listener.

This is deep and low drone work, but there's so much high end sonic detail
that really keeps the mind tethered to the emanating sounds leaving
the listener hovering in its space mesmerized by the magnetic pull of its
auditory gestalt. Yes, this is magnetic work , electronic ambient space music
at its finest and realized once again as an electronic current, something
which lives and breathes, seemingly organic yet fully electronic...."

As well I also have a track on a great compilation from Ambi-sonic titled "Broken Ear". Ambi-sonic is a collective of downtempo / ambient dj's from the bay area keeping the chill and keeping it real. The compilation available now is a nice blend of up and coming artist from the bay area. I am very proud that my debut, "Luminous", is being released on the Atmoworks label. Luminous will be available on Aug.29th -- but you can order it as early as the 21st by going to www.Atmoworks.com. There will be two formats available - CD and download.

It took months of remixing, finalizing the order of the ten tracks and getting it into the hands of Vir Unis for mastering but the long awaited debut CD from ambientPortal is now ready for your listening pleasure.

A lush assortment of ambient musical experiences that will take the listener into meditative dimensions and back.Sublime pads, otherworldly textures and minimal beats by Mykl Neufeld make you feel like you are one with all things.

What began as a 4 CD set has expanded into a multi-disc multi-volume project. This project will begin to unfold during 2005.
A multitude of longform works will become available as downloadable and single releases. Then, at the end of each 1/4,
we will assemble all of the releases for that quarter into a hand crafted wooden box set.

CUBE music is designed to blur the architectural spaces that we occupy during our waking hours of the day.
Whether it be an office cubical, a personal listening space or the subtly defined spaces within an architectural environment.
CUBE music is music at the edge of perception, music meant to expand interior space.

Environment - 2 "Music for the Working Space" is a very minimal multi layered atmospheric work filled with
blended elements of field recordings and synthesized washes of sound.
